Terms of service

Last updated: October 21, 2026

The rules for the free chat and the paid coaching sessions, written in plain words.

Who these terms are for

These terms apply to the coaching sold by Matthias Marin, a sole proprietor registered in Japan (個人事業主) ("I"), to you, the client. They are for professional clients only: by booking a paid session, you confirm that you act for your business or your profession.

What I offer

Prices

Coaching is $140 an hour (US dollars). Packs of 5 or 10 hours are sold at a lower rate, stated on the quote or the invoice. The price that applies to you is the one on your invoice.

The tools you use (AI subscriptions, automation platforms) are paid by you, in your own accounts, so what we build stays yours.

Ordering and payment

When you want to go ahead, I send you an invoice. You pay it by bank transfer, before the session. A session is confirmed once the payment has arrived.

Moving or cancelling a session

You can move or cancel a session for free up to 24 hours before it starts. After that, or if you don't attend, the hour is due: if it comes from a pack, it counts as used.

If I have to cancel, I offer you a new slot, or I refund that hour if you prefer.

How long hours stay valid

Hours you have paid for, single or in a pack, stay valid for 12 months from the payment. Hours not used within those 12 months expire and are not refunded.

What you can expect

I commit to doing the work with care and skill. I don't promise a specific result or a specific saving: nobody honest can before seeing your work. What we do instead is measure, with a before and after on your own work.

AI makes mistakes. You check what it produces, and you decide what you put into use in your business.

Your part

Confidentiality

What you show me in a session stays between us. Your name and your business are never shown in public without your written permission. If you need it, I sign your NDA.

Who owns what

What you build in the sessions is yours. The templates and materials I bring stay mine, and you may use them inside your own business.

Liability

As far as the law allows, my total liability to you is limited to what you paid me in the 12 months before the claim, and I am not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence.

Personal data

How your personal data is handled is explained in the privacy policy.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. If a disagreement comes up, we first try to settle it by talking. If that fails, the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.

Changes to these terms

The terms that apply are the ones in force on the date of your invoice.
