Claude Code

Claude Code coaching for non-developers

Claude Code isn't just for developers. Claude Code works directly on your files: you hand over a mission, Claude Code proposes a plan, you approve the plan, Claude Code carries it out, and you check the result. I teach you to use Claude Code to build your own tools, one on one, without coding. In practice: one-on-one Claude Code training, then mentoring on your own projects.

Who is this Claude Code coaching for?

For freelancers and small-business owners who already use ChatGPT or Claude, and want to move from conversation to tools that work on their own files.

You don't write a single line of code: you describe what you want in plain words, and you learn to check what Claude Code did.

  • No technical background needed: we start with what Claude Code really does, in plain words.
  • No project needed: we start from how you work today, and pick together the first tool worth building.
  • Any time zone: fully remote, from Tokyo, at an hour that fits you.

What will I learn?

Four steps, from your first mission to a tool that works on its own.

  1. Get started: a mission, not a conversation

A Claude Code project is a folder, not a conversation. You describe the mission in plain words. Claude Code proposes a plan and waits for your go-ahead, asks before changing a file, then hands back a deliverable. You learn to read the plan, correct the plan, and check the deliverable: for example, pick two figures at random and compare them with the source.

  2. Write the project's context, once and for all

What isn't written doesn't exist for the AI. The project's context file (the CLAUDE.md) tells Claude Code what Claude Code couldn't guess on its own, and Claude Code re-reads that file at every work session. The file stays short: the longer the file, the less Claude Code follows it. And when the result is wrong, you fix that file, not the wording of your request.

  3. Create your skills: recurring tasks, set up once

A skill is a piece of know-how, stored once, that Claude Code finds on its own when the task comes back: your monthly report, your quote review, your meeting prep. No skill by reflex: one skill too many makes the others harder to find. And a serious skill checks its work with a measurement, not with an instruction that says "check that".

  4. Set guardrails, then let Claude Code work on its own

For each rule, one question: what happens if the rule isn't followed? An important rule doesn't stay a written wish: the rule is checked, or enforced by the tool. And you only let a task run on its own once you have watched that task run by hand, several times.

A session, in practice

We start with what Claude Code really does, and where AI breaks. Then we practice together, on your real project. You type on your side and I follow your shared screen: I guide your requests and explain why, I comment on what we see, and I show you how to improve it. I am not doing it for you: you leave with the keys.

What can you build with Claude Code?

Five tools that really run. Four serve my own business; a coachee built the fifth one himself.

  • Prospecting

A personal web page for each decision-maker

From a list of organizations, Claude Code researches each one, finds the right person, publishes a web page just for that person, then drops the email as a draft in the mailbox. Nothing goes out without a review.

  • Email

    Two inboxes sorted every morning

The assistant says who to answer and who to follow up, and drafts each reply in its author's style. Nothing goes out without a go-ahead.

  • Admin

Quotes, invoices and mail, in two languages

The assistant reads the mail and the emails, keeps the tracking sheets, and produces quotes, invoices and credit notes as PDFs, in French and in Japanese.

  • This website

A Tokyo alley in 3D, in two languages

The site you are reading, with its guides and its chat assistant, was built with Claude Code, from the first mockups to going live.

  • A coachee

    Three tools, no coding background

A freelancer who makes a living from social media built three tools himself during his coaching, with no coding background by his own account: a daily collection of his statistics, a library of the posts that work, and a workshop that measures which calls to action get clicks.

A marker: a first small project built with Claude Code takes about 10 hours of coaching if you are already comfortable with AI, and more like 15 to 20 hours if you are new to AI.

Which misconceptions does this coaching fix?

Four common ideas about Claude Code.

  • "Claude Code is for developers." No: Claude Code takes instructions in plain English, on your documents.
  • "Claude Code remembers last time." No: only what is written in the project counts.
  • "The longer the context file, the better." No: the longer the file, the less Claude Code follows it.
  • "If Claude Code did it, it's right." No: you check before you trust.

How much does Claude Code coaching cost?

$140 an hour (US dollars), one on one.

$140 an hour

  • A single hour, or a pack of 5 or 10 hours at a lower rate.
  • No package to commit to: start with one hour. If that hour is not useful, you stop there.
  • No fixed number of sessions: you go at your pace.

The first step costs nothing: a free 30-minute chat.

Why learn Claude Code with Matthias Marin?

Because Claude Code is my everyday tool, and teaching is my job.

Matthias Marin, AI coach in Tokyo

Claude Code and n8n are my everyday tools. More than 40 systems I built run in production, on n8n or with Claude Code, and I have supported businesses since January 2024.

My own tools for prospecting, accounting, quotes, invoices and training materials run on them too. And teaching is my job: for Matchers, a French corporate training provider, my learners' evaluations average 10/10, which puts me joint first of nearly 1,000 trainers in its quality ranking.

I am French and based in Tokyo. I coach in English or French, fully remote, at an hour that fits your time zone. And it is me, every session: no hand-off to a junior.

Common questions about Claude Code coaching

Do I need to know how to code to use Claude Code?

No. You describe what you want in plain words, and Claude Code writes and runs the code. Your job: describe clearly, read the plan, check the result. That is exactly what the coaching teaches you.

Which subscription do I need?

Claude Code needs a paid Claude subscription. I tell you which one fits your use in the free chat.

Claude Code or n8n: which one should I choose?

n8n for an automation that starts on its own and always runs the same way: an email arrives, a row is added. Claude Code for work that takes reading, understanding and writing, on your documents. Often, both together. We choose based on your task in the free chat.

How many hours will I need?

There is no fixed number. A marker for a first small project built with Claude Code: about 10 hours if you are already comfortable with AI, more like 15 to 20 hours if you are new to AI. A more complex project takes more hours. You start with one hour, and you can stop after any hour.

How do you start Claude Code coaching?

With a free 30-minute chat. Nothing to prepare.

You tell me what you want to build, or how you work. I tell you honestly whether Claude Code is the right tool for you. If the coaching fits, you book a first hour. If the coaching doesn't fit, I tell you.
